Our fees represent the level of work required for each of our services. Our team are highly skilled and fully trained, with detailed knowledge of up to date legislation.
Once we’ve found the perfect tenant for your property, we’ll start the referencing and preparing the tenancy agreement right away. The tenancy charges may vary, depending on the agreement we have with you, so it’s best to ask your local Butler & stag office for a full breakdown of costs.
That said, we don’t want you to have any unwelcome surprises when it comes to signing the contract, so here’s a list of what you can typically expect to pay:

Sole Agency – 2% plus VAT / 2.4% Incl VAT
Example: If we sell your property for £800,000 our fee will be £19200.00 Incl VAT
Sole Agency / Agent: We are engaged as the only agent for the Period of Engagement defined in our terms of business.
Joint Agency – 2.5% plus VAT / 3% Incl VAT
Example: If we sell your property for £800,000 our fee will be £24000.00 Incl VAT.
Joint Sole Agency/Agent: We are engaged as one of two agents for the Period of Engagement defined in our terms of business.
Multi Agency – 3% plus VAT / 4.2% Incl VAT
Example: If we sell your property for £800,000 our fee will be £28800.00 Incl VAT
Multiple Agency/Agent: We are engaged as one of a number of agents for the Period of Engagement defined in our terms of business.
AML Search - £60.00 Incl VAT per individual check or £90.00 Incl VAT for two people.
Anti-Money Laundering Regulations: We are subject to the Money Laundering Regulations 2007. AML regulations apply to every business in the financial services sector, so anti-money laundering checks must be carried out by accountants and solicitors, as well as firms in property, insurance, investment and general finance.
