After a challenging 'London market' in 2017 we are realistic about what the market will have to offer for 2018. Whilst some prime central areas experienced noticeable price corrections, the areas that we cover in East London and the City fringe have remained stable, mainly due to prices still being relatively affordable in comparison to other parts of London, and the potential for growth due to the rapidly improving infrastructures. Whilst it is still early days, we expect a very similar market this year and our first quarter market report certainly seems to back that up!As with 2017, we have already seen evidence of sensibly priced stock selling and letting in a relatively short timeframe (4-6 weeks) whilst anything overpriced will gather dust before inevitably being reduced or withdrawn from the market. In my view, and as our market report indicates, there is a perfectly good market, it's just a very different market to the one we had all become accustomed to. 2018 is the year for honest and realistic advice from agents, but we've doing that since we started, so this market doesn't phase us in the slightest and we look forward to another successful year. Please click here to get a full market report for all the areas we cover from our Bow and Shoreditch offices.
