The 9th annual Theydon Bois Christmas market took place on Friday 29th November 2019 and like every year it was a huge success. Organised by the Theydon Bois Parish Council, we were once again proud to be apart of this fantastic event with every part of the team getting involved, getting into the Christmas spirit by giving out prosecco and nibbles, with the local village giving us their donations to the chosen charity. With the event growing each year with more of the local businesses getting involved, there was practically every business in the village putting on their own stalls in the street of Forest Drive which was closed off for the event. Offering delicious food and drinks to be purchased, alongside stalls selling Christmas gifts for loved ones. We were also privileged to be able to listen to music from the School Choir as well as witnessing the Christmas tree lights being turned on outside the Village Hall to welcome the most magical time of the year. The organization of this event is second to none with all of the extensive work that goes on behind the scenes in order to hold the evening. With Theydon Bois having such a large community spirit from all its residents there were numerous participants offering up their spare time to help on both setting up and taking down the event, all hands were certainly on deck for this spectacular affair. The children of Theydon didn't know where to look with a giant snow globe, fun filled rides and the chance to meet Santa himself in his grotto with live reindeers nearby. This event needs to be a must in the diary for 2020.
